 Juanito Fojas Kaw or “Boy Kaw” as usually called by friends is the only son of Mr. Kaw Chiu of Xinjiang, Fujian, China and Leonisa Fojas of Altavas, Aklan. His parents were both employees in a local store in Divisoria. Despite the hard times then, thru their perseverance, hardwork, and preservations they were able to raise him well.
He spend his primary and secondary education in Saint Jude Catholic School and He would study while working to graduate in Business Administration , Major in Marketing in University of the East. He is into the business of trading, marketing and manufacturing of various packaging materials for the food and retail industry. Now, his business supplies some of the biggest names in the food institution , retail and wholesale institutions. He also hold key positions in other business ventures. Juanito “Boy” Kaw, began his rotary life and joined the Rotary Club of Bagumbayan , sponsored by VP Ben Hur Go in 2005 ,under 101 president Jimmy Ang, since then, he became active both in club meetings and community service, he held several positions in the club, as Committee Chair for several club projects, Director for Club Administration, Director for Service Projects, He was awarded with numerous citations from several past presidents. Recently, He was award as the Most Outstanding Rotarian for the year 2009-2010 by IPP Henry Ongchan. His dedication , performance and practice of Rotary’s Motto, “Service above Self” led him to be nominated as President during 2008-2009. Juanito “Boy “ Kaw is a lover of nature, art and music, he is a true friend to every member of the Rotary Club of Bagumbayan. A listener and servant leader to his members, a team worker, a leader that leads by example. He is married to Shirley Kaw, and they have three lovely children, Dan, Nia and Seve. |
